- Publishes the School Admin Newsletter, which is sent free of charge to around 15,000 schools in the UK. Secondary schools receive two editions a week, while primary schools receive one edition a fortnight.
- Runs the School Administration newsgroup – an email service in which news relevant to administration is presented through occasional bulletins. To join send an email to ed.admin@schools.co.uk and write the word Subscribe in the subject line.
- Runs the Certificate in Educational Administration one year distance learning course.
- Runs www.admin.org.uk - the extensive school administration web site.
The S.E.A. was set up with funding that was awarded by the Dept of Trade and Industry through the Knowledge Transfer Project. The team worked with the University of Northampton to produce the Certificate course, and continue to work with the Institute of Administrative Management who oversee and validate both this course and the courses run by the National College of School Leadership.
